GRANBURY — The annual Pecan Arts & Crafts Fair, sponsored by the Pecan Plantation Volunteer Fire Department & Emergency Medical Services Auxiliary, will took place October 6, at the Pecan Activities Center (PAC), located at 9205 Plantation Blvd. in Pecan Plantation. From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Vendors from across the region displayed their skills and sold their handiwork in the PAC gymnasium. All spaces were filled and the gym was a shopper’s paradise.
Once again this year, shoppers found a huge variety of handcrafted and unique gifts, one-of-a-kind jewelry and home décor.
Li Cross, Chairperson of the Arts & Crafts Fair this year says, “We also have some folks selling rustic gourds. We have paintings, metal sculptures and yard art this year…”
Those looking for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas decorations and ornaments found a virtual showcase of seasonal items, such as wreaths, floral arrangements, stockings, ornaments, and other holiday necessities, as well as homemade jellies, candies, cookies, cheesecakes, breads and other yummy baked goods.
Several organizations in addition to the Auxiliary had booths where Pecan residents were able to learn more about how to become involved in local community clubs and activities.
The Auxiliary provided lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the PAC dining room.
The Auxiliary’s annual arts and crafts fair has continued for more than 20 years and is the highlight of the organization’s fundraising efforts. All proceeds from booth rentals and food sales benefit the Pecan Plantation VFD & EMS.
