Dear Pecan Plantation Member,
I am Ray Taylor, the President of PPVFD/EMS. I am proud of our organization and its knowledge and skills related to fire protection and emergency services. Unfortunately, our expertise does not extend to ballots and elections. We made a mistake sending out the white and blue ballots you recently received.
Over the past few days, we’ve learned that balloting for PPVFD/EMS assessments to be collected by PPOA need to be carried out in accordance with PPOA bylaws and managed by the PPOA Election Committee. We are working directly with the PPOA Board and By Laws Sub committee to make sure we are in compliance with the PPOA By Laws.
The PPVFD/EMS board will be making a formal request this week to have our funding initiatives included in the ballot items you will vote on for the PPOA annual meeting in March 2024.
We apologize for the confusion caused by sending out ballots to each of you. The ballots we received will be placed in sealed boxes, and not be counted.
Going forward, we will align any voting / balloting activities we undertake with the annual PPOA ballot that is managed by the Election Committee so we can continue to focus on what we do best, providing fire protection and EMS services to the members of Pecan Plantation.
